How to troubleshoot Dell Latitude D630 AC adapter power jack problem
You can not access and repair the Dell Latitude D630 AC Power adapter socket on the motherboard components are mounted on the metal support, it has to be removed first. In a Dell laptop decision Power is soldered to the motherboard. If the laptop fails intermittently when you wiggle the power cord, most likely Dell AC adapter power jack is damaged and needs repair. To repair Dell Latitude D630 AC power adapter jack, you must remove the motherboard.
Remove the two screws holding the cooling fan. Unplug the fan cable from the motherboard. Remove the fan. Remove one screw securing the power button board. Lift the board and disconnect the motherboard. Loosen the three (red) and remove a screw (green) screw Mounting the heat sink. Remove the heat sink.
Remove the four screws securing the HDD bracket. Lift the holder and disconnect from the motherboard. Remove the two screws holding the Dell Latitude D630 AC Adapter Assembly Speaker. Disconnect the speaker cable from the motherboard. Unplug the CMOS (RTC) battery. Remove the two screws securing the PC card slot. Lift the housing and disconnect from the motherboard.
Remove one screw securing the modem card. Disconnect the modem cable from the motherboard. Remove the cable modem and telephone jack. Remove the six hex bolts from the computer ports Cell. Remove one screw securing the motherboard. This screw is located on the left side of the Dell Latitude D630 AC adapter plug.
Early separation the motherboard of the metal support. The motherboard has been removed. Now you can access the Dell Adapterpower AC outlet and repair. If the plug is broken, you should replace it with a new one. If the Dell Latitude D630 AC power adapter jack is loose, you will resolder to the motherboard.
