Everything you wanted to know about SDHC Memory Card
SDHC (short for Secure Digital High Capacity) memory cards are the most popular external storage for cameras, camcorders, mobile phones, and a host of other electronic devices. An SDHC card can store high resolution photos, video and audio, and can easily be transferred from one device to another.
The Memory Card SDHC SD specification extends the original, allowing for greater storage capacity beyond the limit of 4 GB SD cards. Although almost all new devices will support SDHC cards without problems, notes that many older devices built to the original SD specification does not support charts SDHC.
Check with the manufacturer of your device to see if there is a firmware update available that will use your camera card SDHC Memory. Note that any device that supports SDHC will also support SD cards anymore.
The SDHC card is available in sizes 4 GB to 32 GB is available in three sizes: SDHC, miniSDHC and microSDHC. Mini and micro formats were created for use in small Electronic devices such as mobile phones. All sizes share the same capacity and minimum top speed. SDHC cards use FAT32 file system, which is the same as that used in earlier versions of Windows.

There are four classes available speed for the memory card SDHC Class 2 allows a minimum transfer speed of 2 Mb / s. This allows record video in standard definition. Class 4 has a minimum transfer speed of 4MB / s, while Class 6 has a minimum transfer speed of 6MB / S. These rates are applicable for high definition video recording.
Class fastest speed, class 10, has a minimum transfer speed 10 Mb / s and allows simultaneous recording HD. Check the manual that came with your device to determine which class is appropriate speed for your device.
Some devices have an SDIO slot, which can take two SD and SDHC cards and small devices such as GPS navigators, Bluetooth devices, network cards, modems and a host of other possible devices.
The SD specification is based on an old standard memory card called MultiMediaCard, or MMC. Some devices that use SD cards can also read MMC cards. SD cards are manufactured to compete owners with Memory Stick standard created by Sony. The SD format was created by SanDisk, Matsushita and Toshiba, and was introduced in 1999.
The next generation of SD cards, SDXC, was recently introduced. SDXC can handle up to 2 TB of data, with transfer speeds up to 100 MB / s! It uses the file system exFAT Microsoft to portable players. The first cards SDXC are just beginning to appear on the market. Because SD and SDHC cards, it is likely that SDXC will not be compatible with devices that only support the SDHC standard.
