We all remember the humble floppy disk and how she ground away from our computers, trying to save snippets of information without becoming corrupted or damaged. Then came our savior, the CD-ROM, which has managed to store much more information without the problems of corruption or damage. Of course, for long, the CD was read-only, so we can use programs or documents that have already been recorded on CD-ROM, but we could not put our own information to them, if we wanted our own transfer files between computers another, unrelated, we had to rely on the disk anyway. Then, the CD-R and CD-RW came on the market, which saves us a lot information on the disks, either once or, in the case of a CD-RW over and over again.
Now, another revolution began with DVD burners, which allow us to save even more information on a disk to CD-R and CD-RW has saved us. However, these discs are standard or options in some of the newer computers, and many of us have computers in perfect condition, without these writers. For those of us who want to update without going through the hassle of making new CPU case, external writers offer a great solution to our problems.
With a recorder Externally, we can use our own computers to make our own movies or photo discs that can then play on home entertainment systems. Writers are also great for backup and file storage, as these new discs can hold a ridiculous amount of information, especially if you save digital photographs or text documents. Although they are still good for transporting data from one computer to another, remember not that not all computers are equipped with readers to correct. Often, this can cause compatibility problems, but with external drives is a simple fix: just connect the external drive the computer you want to transfer files to and move files that way.
Most external DVD burners attach to computers via USB 1.0, USB 2.0, Firewire, and do not forget to check compatibility with your computer and connections before you buy. Also, remember that external drives are also great for laptops because they allow you to make copies while at home or office, then leave the player behind when you travel with your laptop
