CD / DVD formats. Conversion from analog to digital and the future of digital storage media

Data Digital is different from analog data, because it is usually very little loss of data occurs. All other sections of the laser does not burn read as a zero. Hence the code binary is done! Magnetic media works in a similar manner, except instead of burning issues, the reader will change the magnetic field to a particular segment to a "one".

Audio / Video Data vs.

CDs are usually in the form CD-R, CD-RW, CD-ROM and VCD 700 MB can fit on a disc as a data CD or 80 minutes as an audio CD. The confusion is part of how the CD audio and data CDs different? DVDs are the same case, except with a video component: DVD players (such as CD players) will play DVD video files that are arranged so that can understand. Data DVDs can store any type of file you want. Popular DVD formats are DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM, which store about 4.7 GB DVD data or 60 minutes on a DVD video. However, you can increase the number of minutes on a DVD video by reducing its quality (which you can not to make an audio CD.) Thus, it still holds files for a DVD player, except the size (aspect ratio of a watch) the video becomes smaller and So blurry when viewed. So what is the future of? Digital storage Blu-ray is a new type of disc that is just beginning to become popular it makes use of a blue laser (which has a small wavelength) to write data on its surface which increases the capacity of the disk until 25 GB and 50 GB on a dual layer disc. Ideally, this type of disk should be in lieu of standard DVDs to its obvious advantages - but when the DVDs were first was invented there was no need for a 25 GB disk so that the current DVD has been the cheapest and most obvious choice. Blu-ray will succeed finally DVD VHS and CD does to tape.

CD will probably common because they are nearly the amount of space needed to accommodate an album of songs. If the manufacturers decided to increase the capacity of an audio CD, then there would be compatibility problems with existing players and plenty of space would be wasted as most artists will not produce albums that are beyond the capacity of the audio CD anyway.

MP3 CDs are CDs that are a cross-audio and data CDs. A CD can relatively new MP3 CD support, but all files on the disk must be converted to MP3 format first. This increases the amount of songs you can put on a CD.
