The PSP uses Sony's UMD disc known for games and for watching movies. UMD stands for Universal Media Disc which is the format for PSP media (except its memory stick). PSP UMD Video will generally cost you between $ 18 to $ 30 USD which is very heavy especially for students and adolescents. Today, the demographics of people using PSP includes young professionals where the money is not really a problem. But Youth is a big problem to disburse $ 30 for a movie you only watch occasionally.
The UMD is similar in construction your type Compact Disc (CD) to the difference in the size of the disk. The maximum data that a UMD can hold 1.8 GB which is more than sufficient to contain an entire movie to a lower resolution than your standard DVD. 1) You buy an original DVD and you ripped the DVD into your computer and download in your memory stick
2) You become a member of the PSP download site and download directly from this site.
DVD ripping The software is provided by Sony. It allows you to extract DVD movies on your PC (or Mac) in a much more compact. Of course you would lose a little quality but since the PSP screen is small, there is no noticeable difference. The disadvantage is the method is that you need quantity important memory in your memory stick (at least 512 MB)
The second method is to join the site to download many PSP available on the Internet today. Find a download site is the easy part. Finding a good site is the most difficult. The good thing about downloading of the membership site is that you do not have to make a DVD copy that is in itself can be time consuming at best and frankly very frustrating if you do not get it right. You just download and watch movies. The only thing that costs you the cost of life membership. Look at it this way, when you download an entire movie, you will already cover the membership fee and you can download an unlimited number of files and have access to games cheat, review and get free PSP tools too. You can always store your video files on your PC and download the movie on your Memory Stick if you want to see
PSP UMD movies are becoming rare, but they are always there on the market. However, things do not seem so bright for them. PSP download sites offer a great alternative for fans of PSP movie, but the disadvantage Memory is the amount you would need if you want to watch more than one film at a time. Ultimately it is always what your needs or desires are.
