Prepare for employment
What to do:
Buying a new car. Make sure that you will fit properly into the slot of your old stereo. In addition, when purchasing a new car, you may be able to buy a harness that are specific to both your car and the car radio. Buy from these if you can and make wiring a snap, literally!
Gather these tools and materials: screwdriver, pliers stripper, wire cutters and electrical tape.
You also need instructions for removing the dashboard of your car, take off, follow the instructions to properly remove your old radio.
Remove the old stereo
Disconnect the ground (negative) battery cable. NEVER work connected to the electrical system in your car with this connected.
Remove the panel that covers your stereo. detach and slide your old car. It is either a single plugin with several son who are on the back of the computer or a bundle of cables individual. If there is a cluster of son in the back of the car, take your time and do and you want to do both, to avoid confusion.
Connect your new wiring harness, if you have the wiring harness specific to your car. This will be taken back the new radio. If you purchased this card, you can skip the next section.
Connecting the wiring manual
Connect each wire, even if you were not able to get individuals to install wiring plug on the radio.
The positive lead of each speaker to the positive terminal first on the back of the stereo. Then connect the negative lead of each speaker to the negative terminal on the back of the stereo. If there is only one wire coming from the speakers, the speakers are grounded on the chassis. If this is the case, you must install the new speaker wiring.
The (-/black) cable, screw or bolt in the area where the stereo is located behind the dashboard. Make sure the wire is connected to metal, not plastic or fiberglass.
Connect the 12 permanent and son plugs (two + / red) to the radio news. Refer to manual for your car to ensure wiring is correct.
Put in the car stereo.
Now you should have a nice single connector son to acquire all right in your car - either from the wiring harness you purchased or one that came with your check stereo son that all are connected correctly.
Drag your new car in the support that accompanies it. In some rare cases you will maybe use the medium of your old car.
Connect the harness plug at the rear of the radio news. Only an insulated wire from your car stereo old left now. This is the antenna. Put it in your car. There is also a power that you antenna will need a connection.
Drag your new stereo into the slot in the dashboard. Do not screw again, you must first test.
Reconnect the negative cable from your car battery.
Turn your car and turn on your new stereo.Turn the volume to hear some music and all your speakers to make sure everything works.
Fasten your new stereo in place and put the table edge coverage.
Congratulations You're done!
