In this technological era of advanced hard disk storage, it is still surprising to see the backup tapes in use by companies. This article focuses on the backup software and tape autoloaders why are still as popular as ever.
Backup tapes were a precursor of backup technology and have been successfully maintaining copies of many businesses computer systems for decades. In a sense, which explains their continued success. They have already proven to be reliable and able to change as each new operating system is long.
By comparison, Vista initially had problems during recovery from hard drives, but this was never the case with backup tape. He worked from one day.
The maturity of the system also means that costs are extremely low band (lots of competition) which in turn reduces costs and encourages the production of multiple copies of liberal backups and offsite tape storage.
