Seagate launches 1.5TB hard disk drive portable
Seagate has launched what it claims is the first 1.5 TB, 2.5 inch portable hard disk drive, which comes less than three months after the company introduced a 3TB external drive.
The company, which broke the limits capacity hard drives based on current standards, released its latest FreeAgent GoFlex Tuesday. The portable device supports PC, Mac and Windows can store up to 60 high definition movies, 750 games, or thousands of photos.
In addition, Seagate has included a USB 3.0 port and cable. When connected to another USB 3.0 device support, the drive can transfer data 10 times faster that devices using USB 2.0 technology more found on most devices.

In addition to providing lots of storage, The new disc can be used to read the content on an HDTV using the Seagate GoFlex add-on HD TV media player. To access the contents stored remotely on the Web, Seagate offers the device GoFlex net media sharing. The two add-ons are available at extra cost.
The last FreeAgent GoFlex can store and access files on Windows and Mac OS X computers without reformatting. To make this possible, the user must install a driver for Mac provided by Seagate.
The new product is available online through Seagate or at select retailers for $ 250.
Seeking to produce higher-capacity drives, Seagate and competitors try to stay ahead of the growing need for storage that people use their computers to store high definition video, images and music. Seagate, however, was to stay ahead of the pack in terms of capacity.
In June, the company introduced what it claimed was the first industry 3TB external disk drive, the FreeAgent desktop GoFlex. Although beyond the capacity of rivals, the company also maintained competitive price of $ 250, or about 8 cents per gigabyte.
