MacBook Energy Saver Tips: Conserving the battery in your MacBook
If you want to save the battery in your MacBook and want to make it last longer than usual, change the settings on your MacBook Energy Saver mode. To do this, follow the guide step by step below. This should keep the battery in your MacBook, especially when you're out and away from any electrical outlet:
1. Top right of your screen you will see a battery gauge. Click on it.
2. As the menu appears, select the energy parameter Apple you want to use. And because you want to keep the battery in your MacBook and get the longest life, choose the best energy savings option.
3. If you want to customize the configuration of the MacBook power on your settings, click Open Energy Saver always on the menu appears. The preferences window Energy Saver will then be opened.
4. From the Settings: drop-down menu choose the battery to allow power configuration settings when using your MacBook on battery.
5. Optimizing the dropdown menu, choose Customize. The window should expand and show more preferences to configure.
6. Sleep tab, you will see two sliders - one lets you set the time before the computer is put to sleep, while the other allows you to define the time before the display is put to sleep. In general, the more time you set for scroll bars (or more left, you move the cursor), the lifetime of the battery in your MacBook gets.
7. Also, check the box that says "Put the hard disk (s) to sleep when possible "to save energy.
8. Under the Options tab, choose other options that will increase the battery on your MacBook. Check the boxes that say:
- Slightly dim the display when you use this energy source
- Automatically reduce the brightness of the display before display
9. For more ways to conserve battery life of your MacBook you can manually reduce the brightness using the F1 on the keyboard, especially when you do not need too much lighting on your screen. Also, be sure to disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other networking features of your MacBook when not in use.
Keep these guidelines in mind, you should be able to keep the battery in your MacBook and use it for hours.
