Finally, they are here. Official 128 USB drives. With the release of June Kingston DataTraveler 200 of the next barrier was taken. And the days are gone wrong.

On the other hand, the days of high prices for small gadgets can be back. But it is understandable given the enormous capacity. Let's face it, a 128 GB hard drive can cope with any regular hard drive, but without the mechanical noise and movement. And above the latter it is convenient and portable.

In addition, the DataTraveler 200 can boast with the specifications of Nice. It is constructed of a rugged exterior and can hide the USB connector with a slide. It has 20 MB / s read speed and 10MB / s write, which is certainly a good start for this new capability. Also included is password security and compatibility for Vista ReadyBoost.

The next USB Drive 128 GB Edge DiskGO line is Tech. Scheduled for July 31 Removing, it has a traditional headdress design. Therefore, it is a little longer than Kingston, but the width and height is shorter. The DiskGO offers password protection and 128-bit AES. There is currently no known details about the transfer rate, but presumably it will be in the same area as the DataTraveler 200.

As a side note, the DiskGO and the DT200 are also available in 32 GB and 64. It can go one way for two or three disks to save money and still achieve the overall capacity. That is, if you do not mind being considered as a cheat.

Again, the real good news here is that the 128 first true USB disk on the market, it will be harder for counterfeiters now blame impatience. "Look at our incredible ability!" Will not fly over. But they may still be able to win on the ill-informed as they can now change their tactics of "Seeing is not serious - it is only the latest model."

So make sure that flash drive is offered to match the official versions by Kingston, Edge Tech and whoever is to follow. It is best to keep track of the Internet. Heads-up, I can tell you that Samsung has announced a 128 GB USB too.

Of course, it is possible that now we will see false 256 GB drives or 512 GB But let me suggest that for now, there is the satisfaction of portability 128GB. Certainly, there are not many left to be desired when it can carry 28 DVDs in your pocket and still have room. It's up in the pocket and the drive itself.
