Xeon microprocessor has its roots in the AMD Dual Core processors, systems-based P6 and Pentium II. It comes from the Intel Corporation and has a 64-bit multi-core, multi-thread capacity. It is intended to be used in servers and workstations.
The Xeon comes with software that is DCM Data Center Management Software. The competition includes i7 also with a 64-bit and four cores, which is nice for desktop PCs with an efficiency multi-tasking, plus, it has the HD Boost technology that is excellent for players.

Speeds available on Intel Xeon MP are only 3 MHz and 800 MHz there is a higher rate to 3.60 MHz.
All Intel Xeon core, 256 K L2 cache for Intel Xeon MP are equipped with Intel NetBurst micro-architecture extensions and Streaming SIMD 2 (the 800 MHz with 3 extensions).
The Intel Xeon processor MP features a level 3 cache with 4 MB, 2 MB, 1 MB, 512 KB or 256 KB All the remaining units as Sport Hyperthreading technology the same as the Xeon with 512 KB of L2 cache.
