Drive Iomega

Being a photographer keep my images safe is my priority, but because I often run into a RAW format, it means that my pictures take a lot of space. My current computer system is probably around 5 years so unfortunately I'm stuck with a computer with a 125GB hard drive. This hard drive is more than enough for a everyday but I often take around 8 GB of photos of each and every shot that I do and when you take into account I draw between 3-5 shows a week, my small hard drive becomes a problem.

For this reason, I had to get an external hard drive. I took the time to research and came across a few that I liked. It there were drives that were really thin and would be excellent on the road because they were very small, but these drives were a bit more memory than my hard drive current, these would not last me long.

The hard drive that I decided to go with the drive was Western Digital Elements 1TB. The reason for my choice is that storage space was massive and the hard drive was well priced. My first purchase was from eBay but the seller sent me a version in Spanish for some reason, so I sent it back and bought the player from Amazon, where he was the same price.

The Journal

The Western Digital hard drive components is much smaller than I expected, it roughly the size of a small book and weighs about the same. One of the best features that I found with this drive is the noise the latter, it is next to nothing and I constantly check to see if it is installed in noise levels is the silence of great benefit to have this disc Hard as I tested a few in the past that are extremely noisy, which becomes a great annoyance when you have to live with the thing.

The Power LED is located at the rear which is another great feature of this external hard drive. If you look around you there are chances there are flashing lights everywhere you look, when it comes to televisions or computers these lights stay on even when you not in use, it gets annoying when you try to do something else and do not use your computer. The LEDs on the back of the drive External means that we constantly do not have a flashing red light on our faces.

The drive connects to your computer via USB 2.0, giving you transfer rates consistently high. I often transfer large files on my hard drive and get a transfer speed between 30Mbps and 37MBps which is extremely fast USB 2.0.

The device is plug and play which means you just connect the hard drive of your computer and is ready to go, there is no need to install any software that I found very useful.

The Western Digital Elements Hard Drive is excellent external hard drive and since writing this review, I bought the 2 TB model that allowed me to store more of my images. If you are looking for a disk drive that is reliable, affordable and easy to use while having tons of room for storing items I strongly recommend Western Digital hard drive.
