Great for its market

Firstly, I want to emphasize that the laptop is incredibly lite weight and it is quite robust.

- Intel SU4100 consumes only 10 watts to its maximum. Fast enough for what I do on my laptop. I am a student by the way, if portability what came to mind.
- Intel GMA4500 and GS45 are enough for me. Watch movies here and there. GS45 consumes 12 watts at its peak.
- Western Digital 250 GB HDD. Not the best, but surfing on its subject. He is constantly in power saving mode and parks the R / W heads. Created as a murmur. Not audible at all.
- Keyboard This which makes this laptop stand out even more. Lenovo claims that it is an ergonomic keyboard and Lenovo are entitled. It is very comfortable to type and I fewer errors compared to my previous 15.6 "laptop.

- Came with Windows 7 Home Prem 32-bit I preferred 64-bit edition, but I immediately wiped and installed 64-bit edition of Windows 7.
- Comes with some bloatware that are removable.
- The cover does little flex when pressed to top
- DDR3 RAM is clocked @ 400MHz RAM is because of FSB with a ½ GS45 chipset. This is not a question of the landmarks of memory have shown very little difference between DDR2 and DDR3 RAM, therefore it will improved battery life. (Tom's HW)

- I made different tests stress CPU and GS45 (GPU + Memory Controller) and I / O (ICH9-M) for a while and surprisingly SU4100 remained well below 60C and the total consumption of the notebook remained below to 30watts. (Measured with "Kill A Watt meter)

A PC with Great ULV average battery life

So I have done extensive research on laptops ULV class of Asus, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo. My main goal was to buy a mid-range (500-700 $) CULVER laptop with Windows 7 to tide me over until the release of the Asus UL80-JT (I3 CULVER automatic with switchable graphics cards and 12 hours of battery life), which will not be published later this year.

What I got was exactly that. The reviews complained mostly about the Lenovo customer service, I have not dealt personally. However, I heard that Lenovo's customer service is not * that * bad and it is a small company that HP or Dell (and your laptop end up worse for wear, after meeting their customer service). customer service can never compete with the quality customer service Asus, and I sad that the price point on the UL30 and UL80 Asus rebounded to near $ 850 on Amazon and they were sold on most other sites, but if it happens.

Then on the Lenovo, it has an elegant look and you'll never have a problem with fingerprints. The keyboard is the keyboard as ergonomic I've seen on a laptop thin and lightweight and has the greatest feel to it. The laptop does not feel fragile at all and seems pretty solid all around. It comes with a CD / DVD, which is great, since most other thin and lights had cleared an optical drive for weight.

The VeriFace log-in is a cool feature added.

The screen has a resolution really good and phone comes with a very decent graphics card. The only obvious drawback is that it takes a toll on battery life. Now, I moved from a normal laptop get 2 hours of battery life at best, so I am enjoying the added battery life. However, it is not as good as some other laptops CULVER. I get about 4 hours and 15 minutes on average depending on what I do. It's new, but big compared to regular lithium-ion batteried-notebooks, but it seems pretty average for notebooks Acer CULVER class with 9 hours and Asus with 12 hours. (Asus does not get 12 hours, but instead of almost 9, but remain above the rate of Lenovo). So I finally find a little annoyed when I plug the Lenovo

The laptop runs cool and quietly and without any real significant fan noise.

I think the only con about this laptop is the battery life COMPARED to other laptops in its class. Light fast and cool

Very light computer, I have windows vista on it and it's fast, it runs very cool, the battery does not last more than 4.5 hours, but it is enough for what I need. I really like. highly recommend it.
