How do I download and transfer games from PC to PSP on my PSP

First: What do you need?

- PSP
- Computer (PC / MAC / LINUX)
- Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick Pro Duo
USB cable with a Mini-B On the one hand -

STEP 1: Connect your PSP to PC

The PSP can function as a USB Memory Stick Duo reader. With this feature, you can copy pictures, audio and other content to and from your Memory Stick Duo. To access the Memory Stick Duo in your PSP from your PC, you need a cable that has a USB Mini-B " (Common for digital cameras) and "Standard-A" connector (common for printers, etc.). Plug the Mini-B side into the top of your PSP Standard-A side into your PC. From the PSP software, go to the top of the list of parameters and select "USB Connection". PC (Windows / Mac / Linux) should detect a new "Removable Disk Drive" that you can then access.

STEP 2: FORMAT your Memory Stick

To use your new memory stick on your PSP, you'll have to format it. When you format your memory stick, the formatting will create a set of new folders on your PSP games, music, photo and SAVEDATA.

STEP 3: EXTRACT the saved game

This process will depend greatly on the software you use to extract zip files. WinRAR for instance offers the "extract here" option, which will simply extract the contents of a zip file its current directory.

Step 4: Transfer SAVE GAME "SAVEDATA" FOLDER

Simply copy the folder you just extracted, and paste it into the PSP "SAVEDATA" folder. But beware!, Any folder overwrite warnings! Because the PSP save files games use the same names for the same games, copying folders into these locations could lead to data loss. For this reason, we recommend save your old saved games before overwriting them. For example, I would simply rename a folder like "ULPS0004" to "ULPS0004_backup."

STEP 5: EXIT MODE USB

Because your PSP in USB mode throughout this process, simply press X to exit. Then you can Disconnect your PSP from your PC.

STEP 6: Check TRANSFER OF SAVE DATA

To check the integrity of the game data SAVE you just uploaded, use the PSP integrated data backup utility. Select it in the "Game" menu.

It it simple and smooth.
