How to troubleshoot the DVD

We really enjoy these films on DVD and games and the last thing you need or want is to encounter problems with your DVD player.
To prepare for the possibility to have your DVD player lets you out in the cold one morning we will dicuss problems that may cause dvd failure as well as procedures to correct these problems.
As with all drives, remember to check the failure. If the DVD does not read the dvd, try running another DVD in the drive. Make sure the DVD has no scratches and clean.
Visually inspect the drive if the drive is external and if the reader is enternal, computer.Check check to see if the computer has good ventilation to help keep cool.Here are common problems with dvd solutions.

DVD PLAYER HAS NO POWER
First .. For external drives that have no power, first check to see if something or someone caused the cord to become unplugged.Rule to the wall outlet by plugging another device like a radio and see if it plays.
Second ... If you have proven that the outlet to be good, but you still no power, check for signs of increased protection of damage.If the surge protector is good, check the cord.
Third .. If you are sure making power surge or a wall current provides, check the cord by plugging it in a few times.If no power is present, you should replace the cord or the drive itself.
Internal DVD get their power from the power connector supply.Try another connector on the disk. if the internal DVD player still receives no power after using another connector, the drive is defective.
Reader power, BUT tray will not open
You may experience Tray does not have open.Should this happens, press the button twice to see if it will open.If tray does not open, restart your computer and try to open the drawer.
When rebooting the system, notice the monitor to see if the drive is recognized by the systems computer.Some does not display the installed hardware bootup.If during this happens, you will access your BIOS to see if the DVD disc is recorded.
You can also try the eject button manual on the drive to bring something very small but firm open.Use to the press in the pinhole in front of the drive to open the drawer.
Shut the computer off and unplug something like a trombone it.Use long to insert into the hole to open the drawer. The tray may open some centimeters and you can catch it with your fingers to open completely.
Drive is not recognized by Windows
Make sure the operating system recognizes the drive by clicking on My XP Computer.Windows show "drives with removable storage". If your disk is present, select the disc, Right click and select properties properties.Click and you should see "this drive is working properly".
If you see another message like this disc does not work properly, you may be able to update the device driver.If the drive is not present in my computer, restart the computer and access the CMOS setup.
In the CMOS setup, the DVD player to drive present.The perhaps not properly installed or one cable was disconnected if the drive is missing
If you check the drive cables and are certain they are connected correctly, it is possible that the data cable is faulty and the drive can be fault.And we can not overlook the fact that the drive itself may be bad.
Reader power BUT NOT READ DVD
First .. try another dvd since a dirty or scratched dvd may not play.If New DVD can not play as well, make sure the operating system recognizes the drive
Click on My Computer and highlight drive.Right click the dvd and select statement and their properties "This device is working properly" should be present.If not or you see another message, try to update the device driver.
In the My Computer screen, highlight the drive DVD and select the Properties screen, select Drivers, and select Update device driver.
