Exabyte VXA-1 tape devices are loaded with cutting-edge technologies to help the users feel safe about their sensitive data, like read-after-write system, error correction and hardware compression.  In order to assure absolute integrity, the VXA drive reads the data after writing it onto the tape during its record-operation.  If the drive detects a write-error, then the VXA drive moves back to the specific data track and re-writes the data packet.  This new error correction system not only detects the errors, but also efficiently corrects it as well without affecting the overall performance.  This error correction is done during the write-operation, thus saving your valuable time.
