Toronto, Canada – GAO Fiber Optics The hot-pluggable input/output transceivers plug into an SFP port or slot of a Cisco switch or router to link the port with the fiber optic network. They support a variety of Cisco switches, routers and optical transport devices. These modules support multi-rate including Gigabit Ethernet 1.25Gbps full-duplex links with an optical link budget of 29dB and Fibre Channel 1.06Gbps and 2.12Gbps full-duplex links with an optical link budget of 28dB.
GAO Fiber Optics' CWDM SFP Cisco compatible transceiver series complies with the ITU-T G.694.2 CWDM grid and laser Class 1 21CFR1040 standards. They are also compliant with 1000BASE-X standards as specified in IEEE 802.3z and Fibre Channel draft physical interface specification. These Cisco compatible transceivers provide standard SFP interface and dual LC/PC connectors for connection with networks.

Fibre Channel Over Ethernet $79.66 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) is an encapsulation of Fibre Channel frames over Ethernet networks. This allows Fibre Channel to use 10 Gigabit Ethernet networks while preserving the Fibre Channel protocol. The specification, supported by a large number of network and storage vendors, was developed by the FCBB5 working group of T11. On June 4, 2009, T11 approved the FCBB5 Draft Standard and forwarded it to INCITS for the publication process as an ANSI standard. The ecosystem of FCoE standards includes pieces from INCITS T11, IEEE and IETF.FCoE maps Fibre Channel natively over Ethernet while being independent of the Ethernet forwarding scheme. The FCoE protocol specification replaces the FC0 and FC1 layers of the Fibre Channel stack with Ethernet.
