Toshiba Sd-H802A: Hd Dvd Player For Pc
Toshiba offers the SD-H802A, which is currently the cheapest french market. Less than 100 euros, the HD DVD player is a true copy of the external drive of the XBox 360, but redesigned to accommodate in a bay 5 1 / 4 inches. To move to the real high definition on the PC it is necessary to buy an HD DVD player or Blu-ray.

Toshiba SD-H802A: HD DVD player for PC
The player is black and is only in this color. Plastic facade integrates fairly large eject button, a LED activity tray and labeled the HD DVD ROM logo in white. It measures 19.3 cm or 2.3 cm longer than the burner Samsung SH-S183.
The Toshiba SD-H802A is nothing other than the HD DVD player for the Xbox 360, redesigned in a box that can fit into a bay 5 1 / 4 inches. It interfaces to a PC IDE and is powered by a Molex.
Compatibility
The Toshiba SD-H802A is a reader. It will support playback of CD, DVD and HD DVD, but will not burn these formats. It regrets against it does not support DVD-Ram.
Poor performance

HD DVD
The Toshiba SD-H802A HD plays all DVD 2.4x. We have ripped the full DVD HD 300 (29.2Go) in 54 minutes and 23 seconds with the software Any DVD HD. Therefore on average a bit less than an hour to rip a dual layer HD DVD with this player, so a bit less than 30 minutes to an HD DVD standard.
As you can see from the few tests we did, the performance of the Toshiba SD-H802A read CD and DVD are poor because of its very low speeds of 15x read and 5x, far inferior to that of our DVD entry level: The Samsung SH-S183.
DVD
We measure the performance of the two players with a double layer DVD 6.05 GB American Story X We started ripping the film, again with AnyDVD HD. The SD-H802A is it in 21 minutes and 41 seconds while the Samsung DVD recorder that has been 12 minutes and 40 seconds. The latter is almost twice as fast, this huge difference in performance is slow reading speed of 5x DVD SD-H802A.
CD
We resort our CD-Audio Zenith Queen of a duration of 75 minutes (20 tracks) that we've ripped with CDex software. Again the Samsung DVD has fared better with an extraction time of 5 minutes and 37 seconds against 7 Posted by free web content at
