IBM has introduced 3 GB/s serial-attached SCSI and ultra-160 SCSI interface attachments to support a broad range of open system servers.  IBM TS2340 drive can be confidently attached to Sun Solaris, UNIX, HP-UX, Microsoft Windows, IBM System x, IBM System i, IBM System p and PC servers.  Today's data centers demand faster data access.  That's why IBM has embedded a small 8KB cartridge memory that holds the information related to error rate, usage history and file log.
