Refreshing Your Laptop Battery
When laptop battery works for a long time, it's hard to charge electricity fully, and even it shows that the battery is damaged. The fact is the increasing resistance. And the voltages rise up faster. This easy to identify as full, then capacity will naturally decline. As the larger battery internal resistance, discharge voltage drop at high speed, so the system is easy to mistakenly think that voltage is without enough power. So we should take steps to save this.
Big brand laptop has a battery refresh program; we can use it to repair the battery. As the notebook computer equipped with nickel-metal hydride battery(Ni-Mh), like mine is HP 446507-001 Laptop battery. I usually discharge it improperly; so the battery discharge time is short, only less than 5 minutes. If carrying a laptop to work, then it is very inconvenient. What can I restore the battery's discharge time?
We can use the official laptop website which has launched a battery refresh program to refresh the batteries, to recovery its discharge time.
(1) Using AC power to support the laptop, first download the refresh program from official website.
(2) Restart your computer, press F8 to enter boot menu and select safe DOS mode.
(3) Entering the download file, start the battery refresh program, and reading the warning message, inserting the floppy disk as required, and then press the Enter key to the implementation of the self-extracting operation.
(4) Boot floppy disk with this computer, the screen came up with reference information.
(5) Unplugging the AC power, the program will automatically be on the Ni-Mh battery discharge, discharge is completed, and the system will automatically shut down.
(6) The battery temperature is high at this time, should not immediately start, after a while to cool the battery, plug in AC power.
(7) Boot the computer with a floppy disk, the file will automatically run the refresh program, and ask the user whether to proceed.
(8) Then refreshing process began to refresh the battery, very soon, when the return to DOS prompt A:> , it represents that refresh is complete.
(9) Shut down the computer, and charge the battery until the light turns green so far.
(10) The above procedure is repeated three times to get the best results.
In addition, many lithium battery pack failure is the result of a failure of energy-saving core, this phenomenon can not be avoided. So a replacement is necessary and urgent, for me, I just type HP 446507-001 Laptop battery on the Google. I can get a lot compatible information and find a proper battery for my laptop.
