I have several large dogs that live in my house. Dogs over a wide area and Ionic Breeze limited working hard. The units are full every day. No expensive filters to replace. ionized air is not really a problem in a large room. I expect the unit, if it helps to replace.

POOrR Quality

I purchased 2 units...both were defective. They finally sent 2 new units. One of the 2 is defective. They didn't offer a refund EVEN after several emails stating that they would correct the problem. Just today, I received their final verdict, after a January 12 purchase. What a scam. 

I've used these units for years (through Sharper Image) and before they were retro-fitted with converters for 120V. Never, ever had a problem. All units from On Board Specialties arrived in their original boxes, no packing, no protection. The same cardboard box you'd get if you bought it in a store. 

Their Policy > "RETURN POLICY: We guarantee your satisfaction, and therefore we accept returns on MOST items." 

Obviously they didn't guarantee MY satisfaction and I'm extremely disappointed with On Board Specialties.

Wonderful Machine!

I have used two of these units in my home for years and they are great! We just moved into this Condo down by a lake, and the walk-out basement had a lingering mildew smell. The Ionic Breeze had knocked out the smell in a few days. In addition these things work great in a room that has a kitty-box in it. Remember to get the large unit like this one here. Stay away from the 'desk -top' units; I never had one last over a year.

I purchased this item to be used in a bedroom which contains a ferret cage and cat litter box. 

Pros: It definitely reduced the pet smells a large degree. 

Cons: It produces a strange odor. My friends relate the odor to the smell to a hospital. It's a strange electric smell. After about a week of sleeping in this room with the ionic breeze running the entire time, I noticed I would wake up with my breathing feeling a little muffled. I did some research online and found that the Ionic Breeze products were in legal battles over technicalities of how they actually clean the air.. because it was found that they produce a small amount of o-zone element. Further more, that those who suffer from asthma would find their symptoms to be worse with this product.
