Today's article is about the amazing M3. This car has been around for many years but I am going to focus on the newest fourth generation model. There are three versions of this car the E90 which is the four door sedan, the E92 which is the coupe, and the E93 which is the hardtop convertible.
Don't be fooled, this is no regular 3 series. Just like every other M3, the new one has a new heart as well. The S65 is a 4.0 liter V8 with 414 horsepower and 300 pound feet of torque. This car will hit 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds, which is blindingly quick for a car that can be your daily driver. I was lucky enough to have driven one of these fine pieces of engineering.
So far this is the fastest car I have ever driven. The 8300 rpm redline is phenomenal. The sound, power, and smoothness of the S65 is pure driving pleasure. The seats are very supportive and comfortable and the steering wheel is nice and thick for a good grip, it even has the blue purple and red M color stitching. I have driven both the manual and SMG (sequential manual gearbox) versions. I prefer the manual because I think it is way more fun to drive but it is slightly slower, but worth it in my opinion.
As far as the styling goes, this car makes it known that it is an M. From the hood bulge to the 4 exhaust pipes, big mouth on the front bumper that eats pavement and the 19 inch rims, this car stands out and lets everyone driving a normal car know that it owns the road. If you are ever fortunate enough to own an M3 I would say by all means go for it.
