Is it a good idea to invest in a Laptop Battery Online System? Well, let us look at some of the things that can occur if you do not have a cooling pad.
The first thing that springs to mind is protecting the computer hard drive. Hard drive failure is probably one of the biggest fears for many regular computer users. This tiny little box stored away in the laptop holds all your data, photos, videos and important configurations. If the box fails, then you can pretty much say farewell to all that stored information, (unless you backed it up of course).
One of the main reasons for hard drive crashes is in fact overheating. All kinds of valuable personal or business data can be lost if your computer overheats and crashes. Trying to keep your laptop at an even temperature can be quite difficult with just the one built in internal fan. This is especially so if you use a lot of design or editing software.
Usually placed at the back of the computer the processor is another unit that needs to be kept cool at all times. This is the heart of your laptop, if this shuts down it is game over. Modern laptops run fast microprocessors that can generate a lot of heat. Without the necessary cooling system or bad ventilation the effectiveness will be reduced considerably. A hot laptop can suffer from reliability problems and a system that overheats can fail.
Now, if you are someone who regularly works off of your lap then take notice of this next bit. Laptop heat can cause skin burns. Yes, you read it right, actual burning of the skin. Let's face it, if you have a laptop sitting directly on your lap and working continuously where is all the heat going to go?? As it is directly on your lap you can probably assume that any air vents cut into the laptop unit will most likely be blocked by your thighs. The heat will come straight out of those vents and blow directly onto your legs. Imagine if you were wearing shorts!!
Lastly, and this one is for all you men out there, laptop heat can reduce fertility. Not something you want to read about but it is a known fact that too much heat in a man's nether regions can create problems later on if having children is part of his future plan. If you are one of these guys and have no choice but to work a laptop off your lap then I would strongly suggest getting a laptop cooler pad ASAP!
So now we know what kind of damage an overheating laptop can cause now we shall look at how to determine whether your laptop is too hot.
What Are The Symptoms Of Overheating?
If you are working away at your computer and suddenly the thing, without reason, shuts down then there is a high likelihood that the fail safe software in your laptop has shut everything down due to the temperature getting too high.
If you find that your laptop/notebook internal fan is constantly working at full speed then chances are that overheating is the cause.
If your computer automatically shuts down immediately after you have turned on a piece of software that requires a lot of work from the processor.
If your screen freezes and the infamous "blue screen of death" appears.
Hopefully the question of whether you should invest in a laptop cooler pad has been answered. I personally think that if I did not use a cooler pad my laptop would have been trashed a long time ago.
