In a combined effort, Samsung and Sun Microsystems have developed an ultra-endurance "cell" level server "to a single level (SLC) NAND flash memory device. According to the official press release, the new SLC flash memory offers a fivefold increase in data write and en-erase cycles over previous SLC memory devices. It was specifically designed with solid state drives (SSD) in mind and extend the lifecycle of "all the data at high transaction processing server.
In addition, the new SLC flash is supposed provide super-high endurance in the calculation of criticism, apparently never more endurance. The press release also refers to an increase of one hundred times more than conventional hard drives in terms of number of data transfers per watt, which will allow users some relief to the extent where power and cooling budgets are concerned.

Jim Elliott believes that the partnership with Sun will give Samsung Top Officials high density memory design, high endurance much more efficient consumption of energy has been seen before.
