When it works, it's great. When it doesn't, not so much.
I bought one of these drives for system backup/imaging, and was so impressed by how spacious and inexpensive it was that I bought a second. The second worked flawlessly for one month, then started generating numerous read errors. Chkdsk discovered about almost half of the capacity had become unusable, making my saved images unmountable.
So my first one still works perfectly and has six months on it. Is it a flawed design and I got lucky on the first, or a good design and I was unlucky on the second? Don't know, and I'm not willing to risk my data to find out by testing it on a third. I changed to two 2Tb Iomega drives for duplicate backups and haven't had any problems since.

Very good product. Very good price. Ordered 2 for my computer(s) backup, and then order 3 more for other family members. Included program also has an option to create a boot CD, in case a crash prevents recognition of the USB port. Costs a lot less than the $150.00 computer crash repair. Been there! Done that!

I bought this drive to store extra pictures, music and video files since my hard drive was at 1% remaining. It has proven to serve that purpose but it does it VERY slowly!
